Efficacy evaluation of herbal oral liquid in improving the uterine health and augmenting reproductive performance in dairy cows

A total of 34 cows, out of which 10 cows were in late gestation and the remaining 24 cows with a history of retained placenta and abnormal lochial discharge, were selected for the purpose of study. The 10 cows in late gestation were placed in the control group. Group T0 (n=10) was kept as control and not given any treatment. Group T1 (n=6) was treated with Exapar liquid (M/S Ayurvet Limited) at the rate of 100ml twice on first day followed by 50ml twice daily for another 3-5 days.

Effect of al2o3 doping on structural properties of zno

Al2O3 - ZnO composite material was obtained by adding the Aluminium chloride (AlCl3 •6H2O) (Hexahydrate) powder of different weight percent (0.5, 1 3, 5 and 7 wt %) into Analar Reagent grade (99.9 % pure) ZnO powder by mixing mechnochemically in acetone medium. The prepared materials were sintered at 1000oC for 12h in air ambience and ball milled to ensure sufficiently fine particle size. The structural properties of the powder materials were investigated by X-ray diffraction analysis.

Some hematological and biochemical blood values in cattle diagnosed clinically as ephemeral fever in qena governorate, Egypt

Forty five cattle were included in this study. They were clinically diagnosed as having bovine ephemeral fever (BEF) infection. Blood samples were collected from infected cattle and controls, 20 healthy cattle were included as a control group. Serum was separated and submitted for the determination of hematological values and biochemical values as Calcium, phosphorus, copper, sodium, chloride, iron, potassium, ALP, ALT, AST, total protein, Creatinine, urea. The evaluated hematological parameters showed BEF-infected animals demonstrated a significant decrease (P<0.05) in total Wbcs, Hb.

Dual effect of 15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase on reproduction and immunity in berkshire pigs

We investigated the differentially-expressed genes according to litter size in Berkshire pigs using RNA-Seq technology. Pigs were divided into two groups: the larger litter size group (LLG) and the smaller litter size group (SLG). The 15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase (15-HPGD) gene was up-regulated in the LLG compared to the SLG. Reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) confirmed the 2-fold increase in 15-HPGD in the LLG compared to the SLG.

Therapeutic property of propolis extract in systemic infection induced in rats

Propolis is a natural product used to treat inflammation and microbial infections. This study was performed to evaluate the effects of standardized propolis extract in behavioral and cognitive changes resulting from systemic infection. These changes were evaluated in Wistar rats anesthetized before the surgical procedure of cecal ligation and puncture. They were administered with the antibiotics clindamicine (25 mg/kg) plus gentamicin (3 mg/kg) or propolis extract (100 mg/kg). The control animals received neither ligation nor perforation.

The quality of life at work as a strategic factor for the sustainable development of communities in Brazil

This study aims to evaluate the perception of quality of life at work in informal commerce located in a community in the State of Rio de Janeiro. This research aims to promote sustainable development in communities located in Brazil and abroad, based on research a community located in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro and focusing on one of the pillars of the "Triple Botton Line" that are people .

Electrochemical sensing of heavy metal ions (ni) with organic conducting polymer (pani)

The aim of this work was to synthesise The conducting polymer (PANI)in the modified electrochemical sensors included (Dimethyl Giyoxime ) to use in the electrochemical sensing of heavy metal ions with (Ni). Electrochemical synthesis experiments were used throughout this study. The polypanlin films (pani) were electrochemically synthesised by cyclic voltammetry on CHI-660C electrochemical device with (H2SO4) represents the anionic dopant.

Relationship between the sand spit geomorphology and restinga vegetation in são francisco do sul island, south region of Brazil

The ocean sand beaches prove to be relevant transitional systems of the coastal zone, highly dynamic and sensitive by virtue of the movement of sediments transported through the constant effects of the waves, coastal currents, tides and winds. The sandspits of Capri beach, São Francisco do Sul, southern Brazil, are characterized by their high dynamics and close correlation with the resting vegetation. The purpose of this work is to analyze the morphology of sandspit and its interaction with the resting vegetation in the structure of the landscape.

Prospects of traditional fish products and fish waste in the red Seastate, Sudan

This study aimed to estimate the consumption of the traditional fish products(Faseikh and Maloha), and to determine the amount of fish waste, fish discard, fish losses and their proximate composition to investigate their contribution in the household food security in the Red Sea State. The study adopted the analytical descriptive approach to verify and specify the research issues quantitatively and qualitatively.

Effect handling technique of skipjack tuna on board

Bad handling technique on board for skipjack tuna could cause a decrease in the fish quality. Maintaining fish freshness plays an important role in determining quality of fish product. Study about chilling methods and storage time effect were conducted from November to December 2015. The study aimed to analyze the effects of different chilling method and storage time on the pH and organoleptics of skipjack tuna. Fish sampling were taken from the Seram Sea, Maluku Province.
