Understanding secularism in global politics

Secularism is a form of both constitutional arrangement and political philosophy that governs approaches to religious plurality. As a principle within international relations, it can be traced back to the Peace of Westphalia secured in the 17th century through a series of treaties which established the principles of sovereign states. Contemporarily, it is understood as a strategy to establish principles and a shared language through which diverse groups of varying religious traditions and none can work to achieve common goals.

Use of social networking sites by the students and faculties of U.N. (auto) College, Odisha

The growing popularity of Social networking sites has influenced researchers to start research about the usage pattern of these sites. This study was to investigate the use of social networking sites by the Students and faculties of U.N. (Auto) college, odisha. A structured questionnaire (both online and print) was circulated to a non random sample of 250 students and faculties. Out of 250 questionnaires, 200 filled in questionnaires were received back.

Music and teaching: The result of an action-research on high school education from a public formation

This text presents some discussions about a reflexive practice involving teaching and music in a high school in Cruz Alta, Rio Grande do Sul. The practice had the action research as an alternative methodology, considering that this search promotes improvements in contexts, especially in the public school, and involves teamwork, which leads those involved in the process of action-reflection-action. The analysis of the data was focused on the productions that involved the activities of the educators in the process of considering the transversal theme in the other teaching activities.

Analysis of the effect of socio-economic characteristics of nigerian farmers' on access and use of tractor for farm mechanization: an application of logistic analysis

This study aims to identify various socio-economic variables that affect the farmers' decisions to Access and use farm tractors in Kaduna State. The study area was divided into five Local Government Areas and using Local Government Secretariat as sampling units, 40 Persons were selected per Local Government Area using the simple random sampling technique. A total of 300 respondents were interviewed using structured questionnaires.

Sustainability assessment of the locally – funded higher education institutions

Sustainability of the locally - funded higher education institution varies directly to the establishing local government unit's income classification and financial capabilities, budgetary allocation and personnel related operations. Using the exploratory narrative research design and Delphi technique in gathering vital information, the results reveal that the typical local government unit to establish higher education institution shall be a first class municipality or town.

The research method used is survey method with causal technique because of determination of some variable to Lecturer Performance. The population is Lecturer at the University of Batam and the number 114 Lecturers. The sample size was 114 lecturers with the sampling technique used by the census.

This is because the arrangement of rehabilitation for narcotics addicts in the Narcotics Act of Indonesia is still ambiguous. On the one hand criminalizing narcotics addicts, but on the other hand rehabilitating narcotics addicts both medically and socially.
