The relationship people have with their work, and the difficulties that can arise when that relationship goes awry, have been long recognized as a significant phenomenon of the modern age.

Survey on the academic production on indigenous mental health in Rondônia, Porto Velho, Brazil

This article aims to conduct a survey and analysis of the scientific production about the psychological attention in the indigenous health in the state of Rondônia, federative unit of Brazil. We have as a working methodology bibliometrics directed to the use of social, human and health sciences, focusing on the qualitative aspects of the works listed. Thus, our procedures are based on the survey of articles, dissertations and theses on the subject published in Rondônia and in the Rondonian context, and afterwards an analysis of their objectives, methods and conclusions.

Pattern of geophagy among inhabitants of Owerri, Nigeria

The aim of the study was to determine the pattern of geophagy among inhabitants of Owerri senatorial zone of Imo State, Nigeria. The study which adopted a descriptive survey design was guided by three specific objectives, three research questions and four null hypotheses. Multi-stage sampling procedure was utilized to draw a sample of 1,200 respondents from the population. A self-structured and validated questionnaire with a reliability index of 0.89 was used to collect data for the study.

Evaluation of a program of labor gymnastics in a company in the municipality of itapecerica da serra-sp

This research aimed to discuss the meanings and effects of work gymnastics on the life of the employees of a company in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The methodology followed a qualitative-quantitative approach, raising the perception of 114 participants through a questionnaire with closed and open questions. The sample involved employees from all sectors of the company present in the class in which data collection was performed.

Recognition image obtained by camera phone of character Arabic

In this paper, we proposed an offline Arabic handwriting character recognition system for isolated characters obtained by camera phone. Initially doing some pretreatments on the picture, the text is segmented into lines and then into characters. In a second phase, we have employed a several methods for extracting the features form the handwriting Arabic character, these methods are: Grey Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM), Gabor Filters, Zoning, Projection Histogram, and Distance Profile. In addition, we have also tested the various combinations of Gabor Filters and Zoning.

Panorama of the beliefs of self-efficacyin basic education teachers

The present research has as objective to build a panorama of Brazilian researches about self-efficacy of teachers in Basic Education, considering the period from 2006 to 2016, in order to identify the findings referring this construct, and concomitantly identifying possible gaps.
