Prevalence of varicose veins among hospital employees

Background: Standing and sitting is a natural human posture. Working in a standing position on a regular basis can cause sore feet, swelling of the legs, varicose veins, general muscular fatigue, low back pain, stiffness in the neck and shoulders and other health problems. Aims and Objectives: To assess the prevalence, to identify the risk, to find out the association between the prevalence and risk with variables and to identify the deficit areas of knowledge in view to prepare a pamphlet for early detection & prevention of varicose veins.

Environmental impact of hospital sewage in sub-average são francisco valley

This study aims to map the environmental impact in the valley lower basin of the São Francisco river, caused by liquid waste from the sewage and wastewater from two hospitals located in the cities of Juazeiro / BA and Petrolina / PE, identifying the composition of the waste and its potential risk to health and environment and can affect local population and quality of water supplied population and irrigation.

The combination of established costing methods generating a new method called cra (cost-restriction-analysis)

This article is based on the premise that the simplification in the use of costing methods is an alternative to the use by small business. Combining internationally recognized methods, it was possible to create a new methodology for calculating production costs, identifying constraints on production and time-based analysis.

Effect of split application of nitrogen on the growth and yield of bitter gourd (Momordica Charantia)

Plant nutrition at optimum quantity is essential for sustainable crop yield. Among all plant nutrients, nitrogen occupies a significant position. Therefore its balanced rate and timings for higher yield of crop plants needs to be investigated. The experiment was carried out to investigate the effect of split N application on the growth and yield of bitter gourd. The field trial was laid out in a three replicated Randomized Complete Block Design at the experimental field of Horticulture Department, Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam having plot size of 5.0 m x 6.0 m (30 m2).

Interaction between solvent-solvent molecules in a tertiary mixture at different temperatures by ultrasonic technique

The basic parameters like viscosity (η), density (ρ) and velocity (U) can be measured by ultrasonic Interferometer. From these three parameters various thermodynamical and acoustical parameters such as specific acoustic impedance (Z), Intermolecular free length (Lf), adiabatic compressibility ‘s (β) etc can be estimated using standard relations from measured values of Ultrasonic viscosities, densities and velocities in the wide range of concentrations at 350 C, 400C and 450C temperatures for Acetone + Propanol-2 +chloroform tertiary system.

Autistic spectrum disorder, a current pedagogical analysis on school inclusion

Autism is a non-degenerative disorder, with changes present at very early ages, typically before three years old, and which is always characterized by severe difficulties throughout the individual's life, reflecting both social and communicative skills and repetitive behaviors and limited interests, with great variability in the intensity and form of expression of the symptomatology in the areas that define its diagnosis. The objective of this study was to conduct a current pedagogical analysis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Effect of jamblang(syzygium cumini (l) skeels.) aceh ethanol extract to blood sugar levels in rats (rattus norvegicus)

This study aimed to analyze the effect of ethanol extract jamblang (Syzygium cumini (L) Skeels) Aceh to (i) a levelof sugar in blood, and (ii) the level of body weight (BW) in rats with diabetes mellitus (DM). Type of this research was experimentally using non factorial completely randomized design.

Medications rational use to prevent incorrect disposal

Pharmacotherapy is one of the most effective approaches for the treatment of diseases, however the increased use of medications by the population rise the need of a better dispensation quality. In this context, the present study aimed to collect data regarding the use of medications and how they are disposed of in Boa Esperança, Minas Gerais, Brazil. 105 individuals aged from 15 to 70 years old were interviewed.

The new genus of hysterium spec.nov.from marathwada

The Ascomycetous Fungi is the largest group. These fungi are highly diverse and versatile organisms adapted to all kinds of environment. Also they are heterogenous in nature and rich in their pattern. However, it was observed that since during last few years Mycology, a branch of Botany has been neglected in Marathwada region and no studies have been done on this particular branch. Therefore, it was felt to undertake the work on taxonomic studies of ascomycetous fungi. To investigate fungal flora and to study their taxonomic aspects, Ramling hill forest was selected.
