Les Kystes du tractus thyreoglosse (ktt): prise en charge au service d’orl et de chirurgie cervico-faciale (ccf) de l’hopital national de niamey (Niger)

Objective: 'To analyze the management of thyroglossal cysts in our department. Patient and Method: This was a retrospective study, based on patients' medical records from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2018, and performed at the ENT and CCF departments of the Niamey National Hospital. All patients in whom the diagnosis of KTT was evoked and confirmed by cervical ultrasound were included in the study. The studied parameters are epidemiological, clinical, therapeutic and pathological. The Pearson Khi2 test was used for statistical analysis with p less than 0.05 considered significant.

Bronchoscopie au tube rigide pour extraction des corps etrangers tracheo-bronchiques chez l’enfant au service d’orl et ccf de l’hopital national de niamey

Purpose: To take stock of the realization of bronchoscopy with a rigid tube for extraction of tracheobronchial foreign bodies in children, and to take up the difficulties. Materials and Methods: This was a prospective study, over a period of 2 years (January 20- December 31, 2016), and performed at the ENT and CCF department of the Niamey National Hospital. It included bronchoscopy with a rigid tube under general anesthesia; performed on children for tracheobronchial foreign body extraction. The parameters studied are epidemiological, per and postoperative.

O objetivo deste estudo foi descrever os fatores de risco para infecção pelo HIV entre idosos.Trata-se de uma revisão sistemática, realizada a partir da consulta à Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde e das bases de dados Scientif Eletronic Library online (Scielo), Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (Lilacs). Como critério de inclusão foram selecionados aqueles que estavam disponíveis na íntegra, no idioma português, publicações originais, no período de 2000 a 2017. Como critérios de exclusão optou-se por: resumos de artigos, monografia, teses.

Ethical medical service through healthcare waste management!! how it is feasible in a transition Country?

Health institutions have been producing undesirable waste when providing curative, preventive, rehabilitative and palliative health services irrespective of developed or developing countries. It is ethical if they are able to manage the health care wastes properly in addition to providing suitable health services. Hence this paper aims to assess the existing healthcare waste management practices in a town of Ethiopia so as to provide ethical health service.

Prevalence of blood pressure measurement in children at the emergency department of ibn- alatheer pediatric teaching hospital in mosul

Background: Blood pressure measurement is an integral part of physical examination in children but it is not commonly done in children. Although blood pressure measurement in children in theory should be routine in practice, it is rarely done. With increasing incidence of childhood obesity and the knowledge that blood pressure level in childhood and adolescence are predictive of adult hypertension, routine blood pressure measurement in children should be considered.

Práticas integrativas e complementares em saúde: um olhar multiprofissional

Objetivo: Descrever a percepção dos profissionais de saúde acerca das Práticas Integrativas e Complementares. Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, com abordagem qualitativa, realizado por meio de entrevistas individuais, semiestruturadas, com sete profissionais de saúde vinculados a uma Unidade de Saúde da Família no Nordeste do Brasil, Bahia. Para análise dos dados, utilizou-se a análise temática de conteúdo, segundo os pressupostos de Bardin.

The clinical forensic nurse investigator documents, secures and preserves evidence while providing forensic consulting services to clients and interdisciplinary partners in healthcare and law-related agencies.

Maternal experiences with autism and its implications to nursing care

Descriptive and qualitative study that aimed to describe the experiences of mothers with autism and its implications for nursing care. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 09 mothers of children with autism from March to May 2016, at the Child and Youth Psychosocial Care Center of Iguatu, Ceará. The data were analyzed in light of the technique of the discourse of the collective subject. The results showed that adapting to autism is a tiresome and difficult, and sometimes painful task. For many mothers to have an autistic child means renouncingtheir professional and social life.

Association between the socio-demographic and clinical characteristics of patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome in the pará state

Over the past decade, Brazil has experienced a growth in the number of deaths of patients infected with Human Immunodeficiency Virus. In addition, the Brazilian government's response to the Human Immunodeficiency Virus and to the Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome has proved to be inefficient, contributing to the growing emergence of new cases. Researchers have sought to fill in the gaps related to this disease.
