Using of water quality index (wqi) in determining the quality of domestic surface water in Côte d’Ivoire: the case of lobo river in The department of daloa

The present study aims at assessing the water quality index (WQI) in the surface water of Lobo river in the department of Daloa (Côte d’Ivoire). The surface water samples were subjected to comprehensive physico-chemical analysis involving major cations, anions and heavy metal.A total of sixteen physico-chemical parameters including temperature, hardness, alkalinity, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, pH, calcium, magnesium, chlorides, nitrates, sulphates and fluoride were recorded during 2012 and 2016. The study shows that water from Lobo river is acid.

Make your design and building

In this article it is pointed out that physics has to use more than one space for describing its systems. The strong interaction needs for gluons matrices 8 dimensions. The geometry is a toroidal product from a 3- with a 5-dimensional sphere. The multiplication table is different from the octonians which serve for the spin-like triples of quasiparticles and for Gleason measurements. The weak interaction has the Heegard decays for particles which are best described by dihedrals. Gravity is best described using the Moebius transformations on a Riemannian sphere.

On generalized relations

The article summarizes the relationships introduced by Purdea [1] and Goghen [2]. Goghen gives a summary of L - the relationships examined by Salius and the fuzzy relations of Zade and Purdea - of all known other types of relations. The terminology of Wagner [5] and Bourbaki [6] is used.

Diagnosis of environmental degradation in the area of inadequate deposit of manacapuru solid waste – am

Several destinations can be given as the final disposal of municipal solid waste, however the most appropriate is the one carried out in landfills. However, municipal solid waste is not always receiving an adequate form of final destination, being discarded in dumps, which are old and recurrent practices in Brazilian municipalities, which is based on the dumping of waste in inappropriate places and without any treatment, which has caused environmental, economic, social and public health impacts.

Importance of the forest sector in the potential of attracting people

Importance of the forest sector in the potential of attracting people. In this work, a modification of Newton's gravitational model was performed to determine the attraction potential of people in cities. It was proposed to add weights, defined by variables that make up the agricultural sector, which allowed us to identify the importance of each sector segment. Through the proposed modeling, it was identified that the Nominal Value of Forest Production presented the greatest potential for attracting people in the municipalities of the Second Parana plateau region.

The influence of atmospheric systems and urban areas on the behavior of the manacapuru watershed

This article aimed to analyze the precipitations and flows of the Manacapuru Hydrographic Basin and possible hydrological impacts caused by the el Niňo and La Niňa climatic phenomena on it, with the objective of providing subsidies for the formulation of public policies for the management of water resources and policies that favor the development of the sustainable economic activities of the municipality.

Technologies for energy recovery of landfill waste: biogas potential in the manaus landfill (am)

Urban solid waste management (RSU) is one of the biggest challenges in city management, while demand for electricity increases worldwide. Economically viable, socially fair and environmentally balanced solutions to such challenges need to be sought. Waste can no longer be seen as rejecting and being seen as an energy resource. The generation of energy through landfill waste is an alternative to the installation of new plants for energy production, can reduce the emission of greenhouse gases and also generate new jobs in the process.

The effect of mathematics events on the adjustment of students' errors in fractions

The article discusses the common errors, the misconceptions and the problems related to the topic of comparing fractions and methods of teaching them. The following research is based on the qualitative approach which aims at examining the existing problems and ways of addressing them. The researcher discovered the significance of the conceptual instruction of the concept itself and the usage of the research methods, while avoiding indoctrinating the subject and using the ritual approach.

Analysis of levels and determinants of technical efficiency of wheat producing farmers: the case of east Gojame Zone, Amhara Region, Ethiopia

This paper examines the technical efficiency of smallholder wheat producers in three districts of the Misrak Gojam zone of Amhara region, Ethiopia. Using two stage stratified simple random sampling design, 210 wheat producing households were randomly selected and studied. Cobb-Douglas Stochastic Frontier Model was fitted to estimate farm level technical efficiency and the associated efficiency scores. The analysis of technical efficiency determents was conducted employing both Maximum likelihood (ML) and quantile regression techniques (QR).

Allelic variants of the cyp2d6: *4, *6 and *10 in quilombola community, Maranhão, Brazil

Brazil has the largest blackpopulation outside Africa and the second largest in the world, surpassed only by Nigeria. More than 40% of the Brazilian population corresponds to Afro-descendants. Genotyping of the CYP2D6 gene may serve as a predictive tool for the pharmacological effectiveness and / or toxicity of various drugs. However, due to the high cost of genetic testing, it is necessary to know the population frequencies in order to facilitate the development of clinical and laboratory strategies.
