Global solar radiation estimate in mato grosso do sul summer – Brazil

Solar radiation is a very important meteorological component of the hydrological, energetic, architectonic and agro environmental processes. However, the instruments that are responsible for their measurement have a high cost of acquest and maintenance. Therefore, empirical models have been developed for estimating the solar radiation and then, reducing costs.

Availability of nitrogen and organic matter in soil treated with calliandra calothyrsus compost in Rwanda. a case of Ruhande Hill, Huye District

Food insecurity is becoming an issue both nationally and internationally due to rapid population growth. One way to deal with this problem is to improve soil fertility using organic fertilizers in order to increase soil productivity in a sustainable way, thus rise crop yield and feed the growing population. Compost is one of the proposed suitable organic fertilizers increasing soil nutrients in a regular basis.

Genome wide analysis of transcription factors of hd-zip gene family of arabidopsis thaliana

HD-ZIP proteins are a class of transcription factors family that have a conserved homeodomain in all of its factors. Homeo box; conserved part of home domain consists of 56 amino acids residues and involved in plant development from formation pattern to specification into different cell types. We retrieved the protein sequence of all the 48 transcription factors of HD-ZIP family and performed genome wide analysis and grouped them into four subfamilies.

GC–MS analysis for compound identification in leaf extract of acanthus ilicifolius and evaluation of its in vitro anticancer effect against mcf-7 cell lines

The current study focused on GC-MS analysis for identification of bioactive compounds in leaf extract of mangrove plant, Acanthus ilicifolius leaf extract was tested for cytotoxicity against MCF-7 cell lines. The spectral properties (GC-MS) of each separated compound were determined and found the different compounds namely aziridine, alcohols, phenolic and fatty acid compounds. GC-MS analysis proved that the leaf extract of Acanthus ilicifolius contain a high content of ethanol compounds.

Business cycle synchronization and trade intensity: the case of Tunisia: 1980-2018

Following the crisis of 2008, Tunisia experienced an economic recession characterized by a high unemployment rate consequence by the decline in these exports after the decline in demand of the European Union which is the main trading partner for the Tunisian economy. France, Italy, Spain, Germany, and Belgium absorb more than 67.89% of Tunisian exports. To absorb the negative effects of this economic dependence in the existence of a crisis, other new markets must be explored.

Physiological and productive responses of maize submitted to irrigation depths at different seasons of cultivation

The use of agricultural techniques such as irrigation promotes physiological responses capable of significantly altering the growth, development and yield of maize, but water should be used in the appropriate amount for cultivation. Thus, the objective of this work was to evaluate physiological and productive responses of maize submitted to water levels.

Association between coronary artery disease and polymorphisms in the attractin-like 1 protein and kinesin-like protein 6 genes

Background: It is postulated that, in animal models, the Attractin-like 1 protein (ATRNL1) gene is correlated to energy balance and homeostasis, however, there is no information on the influence of ATRL1 polymorphism (rs180706) in humans. Our objective was to evaluate associations between polymorphisms in the ATRNL1 (rs 180706) and KIF6 (rs 20455) genes and coronary artery disease (CAD). Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional and analytical study was carried out from November 2018 to June 2019 that enrolled patients with CAD according to coronary angiography.

Ferric status as a biochemical indicator associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Background: Epidemiological studies have shown that Diabetes Mellitus is an cronic inflammatory condition. The increased iron stores are associated with increased free radical formation, which contributes to the glucose intolerance and consequently diabetes type 2. The objective of this study was to evaluate the parameters of the ferric status in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods: The study group consisted of 100 blood samples (50 males and 50 females) of healthy individuals and 69 blood samples (28 males and 41 females) from individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Woman and the fight for recognition of human rights

This article is a reflection that we developed in our Master's Dissertation on Memory, Language and Society - UESB on the condition of women in society, especially regarding gender inequalities. We focus on the struggle of women for the recognition of their rights since Olympe de Gouges (1748-1793), who had her life cut down for fighting for equal rights between men and women to the present day.

Impact of political relations on Indo-Pak trade in 2017-18-19

The political relations of India and Pakistan are not good in many years. Presently India has withdrawn the most favourite nation (MFN) status of Pakistan and imposed 200% customs duty on Pakistani import. Pakistan also stopped trade with India on Kashmir Issue. Consequently, the Indo-Pak trade has been stopped. Interestingly, both countries are a member of WTO and binding for free trade. India and Pak are also a member of SARRC trading bloc and it's Free Trade Agreement namely South Asian Free Trade Area.
