The research aims to understand the concepts in the literature about smart cities and sustainable cities. The study provides a comprehensive overview of the concepts that characterize smart and sustainable cities today. For this study, 32 scientific articles related to the concepts and practices of smart cities were analyzed.
One of the sources that contribute to food shortage is poor productivity levels. This study examines the impact of employing irrigation on grain maize productivity using 350 sample farm households in Ethiopia. Propensity score matching technique was employed since it is one of the most common and increasingly utilized standard methods for evaluating impacts using observational data. And the study found that irrigators enjoy a positive and significantly higher productivity, on the average from 42-45% higher, than their counterparts, non-users.
Urticaria is a disease characterized by erythematous and pruritic rashes in the dermis or large hypodermal swellings. It is lumpy and itchy rashes which look like the effect of a nettle sting and occurs for more than six weeks. It affects 20% of people at some time in their life time.Though the disease is not life threatening, it makes patient worried, due to its appearance and severe pruritus. Management primarily aimed at patient’s education, avoidance of known triggers and pharmacotherapy i.e. antihistamines, glucocorticoids.
The purpose of this study was to identify the learning styles of undergraduate dental students at private education institutions in the State of Ceará, Brazil, and the factors that influence their formation. 459 students participated in this study by answering the VARK questionnaire and filling out a sociodemographic form. Data were analyzed using Pearson’s Chi-squared test and multinomial logistic regression. 46.40% of the participants were unimodal (n=213) and 53.60% were panmodal (n=246). The most prevalent learning style was the K (13.9%; n=64).
As Condições Sensíveis a Atenção Primária (CSAP) é importante marcador de acesso aos serviços de saúde. Há estudos de revisão que abordam as CSAP, entretanto, esta focará em internações e óbitos de homens adultos. O objetivo da revisão aqui proposta será identificar a prevalência e/ou incidência de CSAP em homens adultos e avaliar a tendência das condições sensíveis à atenção primária à saúde em homens adultos. Trata-se de um protocolo de revisão sistemática, utilizará as bases de dados PUBMED-MEDLINE, SCOPUS, Web of Science, Embase, Cochrane, BDTD e OpenGrey.
The outcomes in cochlear implants' cases depend on several factors, including the condition of and propagating of the stimulus in the auditory nerve. The auditory nerve’s time constant can provide temporal information about the auditory nerve's behaviour when facing cochlear implant stimuli.We recruited cochlear implanted children with intraoperative neural response, and the recovery functionwas evaluated usingcommercially available cochlear implant software.
Objetivo: o presente estudo apresenta uma proposição de diretrizes para minimizar os conflitos que envolvem a propriedade intelectual e o know-how nos sistemas de franquia. Métodos: delimitou-se a pesquisa como: aplicada, qualitativa, exploratória, bibliográfica e documental. Foi realizada uma ampla revisão da literatura, legislação e documentos disponíveis no Instituto Nacional da Propriedade Industrial - INPI. Resultados: propõe-se quatro conjunto de diretrizes para fases diferentes da formação do sistema.
This work aimed to identify how the use of the Active Learning Methodology by the Desafio Recoders contributed for students to develop General Skills - according to BNCC - by groups of students, during their participation in the Desafio Recoders. Such research was related to the analysis of active teaching-learning methodologies, in which the student's participation can occur in an active way.
O presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar os dados epidemiológicos relacionados a COVID 19 em uma capital do Nordeste. Trata-se de uma pesquisa documental com abordagem quantitativa descritiva e natureza prática, acerca dos números de COVID-19, entre os meses de março a outubro 2020, a mesma foi desenvolvida a partir de dados secundários. Observou-se uma alta taxa de incidência da infecção por coronavírus em adultos jovens com predomínio do sexo feminino.
O presente estudo teve como objetivo avaliar modelos de precificação de ações no mercado acionário brasileiro, procurando identificar o que apresenta o melhor desempenho dentre ostestados: CAPM, CAPM Global, CAPM Local, APT e Modelo de 3 Fatores. Os modelos foram testados utilizando dados em painel, compostos por 132 ativos individuais(ações) e 60 portfólios, com dados mensais,durante o período entre 2010 e 2014. A avaliação se deu através de análise de regressão e dos critérios de Akaike, Schwarz e Hannan-Quinn.
