Os serviços residenciais terapêuticos vêm se consolidando como estratégia eficaz para a desinstitucionalização de egressos de longas internações psiquiátricas. Os moradores deste serviço podem apresentar alterações no perfil metabólico de lipídeos e da glicose, que podem ser induzidas pela exposição prolongada aos agentes antipsicóticos e pelo estilo de vida dos moradores portadores de transtorno mental. Este estudo objetivou-se a caracterizar a exposição prolongada aos agentes antipsicóticos dos moradores de um serviço residencial terapêutico da região Nordeste.

The State of Minas Gerais presents, unlike most Brazilian States, a transmission level that is still low, because Belo Horizontes, the state capital, as well as the cities of Betim and Araguari have not yet reached the level of transmission of the disease that can place the Public Health System in collapse due to lack of ICU beds, respirators and personal protective equipment for health professionals. At first, the pandemic in the state remained at low levels because social isolation measures were enough to flatten the transmission curve.

Logic model for mental health interventions: the recovery College Model in Quebec, Canada

The Recovery College (RC) model represents a worldwide innovation in health systems. First appeared in England and now established in five continents, the RC model proposes a mental health educational approach in the community, emphasizingco-production, co-learning, and equity between theoretical/clinic knowledge and experiential knowledge (1-3). All participants(individuals with or without mental health challenges, their relatives, mental health professionals, health and education service providers, citizens) have access to mental health, recovery, and well-being training(4).

Extension proposal for health education with the elderly

Introduction: Tuberculosis is an infectious disease with a recognized socioeconomic component, being much more frequent in underdeveloped countries. Objective: Undertake an extension strategy for education in food health. Methodology: A concurrent research was carried out in two stages, four times the theoretical and empirical research methods were used. The validity of the proposal was endorsed by consulting specialists. Results: An extension strategy for the training of people was developed, in which health education and conceived not at the university level as a process.

Double role of health information on the internet: mms and the treatment of Autism

Despite the role it can play in empowerment and in various patient support activities, there is ample evidence that points to problems in the quality of health information available on the internet. This work analyzed the quality of information about the use of Miracle Mineral Solution (MMS) in the treatment of autism on websites in Portuguese, hosted in Brazil. A total of 121 sites were analyzed considering technical aspects, interactivity, readability and accuracy. The results showed that the majority (76%) did not indicate the use of MMS.

Major clinical considerations and treatment of mandible fracture: a concise systematic review

Introduction: In the scenario of mandible fractures, traumas are the main reasons for these events. In this context, the rates of mandible fracture complications vary from 7 to 29% and were correlated with the severity of the fracture. Motor vehicle assaults and collisions significantly outperformed all other causes of mandibular injury. Most consultations for mandible fractures begin with a diagnosis of computed tomography imaging (CT). CT scans were 100 percent sensitive for fractures of the mandible compared to 86 percent for panoramic radiographs.
