Tecnologia assistiva atuando na sarcopenia e contribuindo na prevenção e reabilitação motora de pacientes afetados pela covid-19

A sarcopenia está associada com a piora da resposta imunológica e do estresse metabólico, favorecendo a infecção pelo Covid-19 seja como fator de risco para doença mais grave ou como complicação após a infecção. Cerca de 85% destes pacientes internados desenvolvem fadiga muscular. A Tecnologia Assistiva (TA) busca promover funcionalidade de pessoas com deficiência utilizando desde recursos tecnológicos à capacitação de profissionais. Assim, torna-se importante conhecer a atuação da TA para a prevenção ou reabilitação da sarcopenia em pacientes afetados pelo Covid-19.

Objetivo: analisar a sobrevivência e fatores prognósticos associados à mortalidade em pacientes com SRAG por COVID-19 admitidos em UTI no Brasil. Metodologia: trata-se de estudo transversal, retrospectivo, observacional e analítico utilizando dados públicos dos formulários de notificações de pacientes com SRAG por COVID-19 hospitalizados no Brasil, disponíveis no site https://opendatasus.saude.gov.br, no período de fevereiro de 2020 a março de 2021. As funções de sobrevivência foram calculadas utilizando o método de Kaplan-Meier.

The occupational health of the sign language translator: fragilities, challenges and possibilities

This study aimed to investigate aspects associated to the quality of life and work conditions of the Sign Language Translator Interpreter (SLTI) at teaching institutions of Teresina, Piauí, Brazil. The presence of this professional at teaching institutions is a public policy that arose from social and political movements to fill the gap of communication between the Deaf and the non-Deaf. This is a qualitative research of the descriptive kind. Our participants were ten SLTIs from the city of Teresina, Piauí, Brazil.

Vegetative growth of passiflora edulis' brs gigante amarelo 'is influenced significantly by grafting

Although Brazil is the largest producer of passion fruit, the mean fruit yield is only 13 t ha-1 and may be attributed to susceptibility to pests and diseases. An attractive solution to the problem would be to improve traits by grafting onto a rootstock presenting enhanced vegetative vigor. To this end, the commercial cultivar Passiflora edulis 'BRS Gigante Amarelo' was grafted onto rootstocks that included three native species of Passiflora and four passion fruit hybrids that are still under development.
