The use of digital social networks from the perspective of un-dergraduate students

Participation in digital social networks is part of the routine of many people, who seek for interaction, information, or to enjoy posts from other participants for which they nurture affinity. In this exploratory study we sought to analyze the perspective of the use of digital social networks, by undergraduate students, for personal issues and for future applications in their professional routine.

Realities experienced in rural areas of Southern Brazil: A study on the work of persons with disabilities and the assistance of primary health care professionals

This study analyzes the realities experienced by persons with disabilities (PWDs) at work in rural areas, as well as the challenges faced by the Primary Health Care Professionals (PHC) that provide services to this population. Qualitative research was conducted in five rural municipalities in southern Brazil where family farming and tobacco farming activities are predominate. The data were evaluated using Content Analysis.

A obesidade infantil tem acometido inúmeras crianças em todo mundo, suas consequências são refletidas em pequenos ou longos prazos, sendo que existem fatores adversos que coopera com o desenvolvimento dessa patologia. E nesse ínterim, o profissional de enfermagem é essencial na prevenção e no tratamento, por efetivar orientar os pais sobre as consequências da obesidade e quais os mecanismos que favorecem nas mudanças do quadro clínico do paciente, visando o seu bem-estar.

O HEEE tem sido associado a distúrbios de coagulação, uso de antiagregantes plaquetários, anticoagulante ou malformações vasculares. Entretanto, sua etiologia exata pode não ser descoberta em inúmeros casos.

Safety of hospital birth during the covid-19 lockdown period: systematic review with meta-analysis

Objective: To synthesize evidence on the safety of hospital delivery for asymptomatic pregnant women regarding the risk of SARS-CoV infection during the COVID-19 lockdown period. Method: systematic review with meta-analysis of articles published in PubMed, CINAHL, Embase and Web of Science databases. The risk of bias of the included studies was assessed according to the epidemiological design and heterogeneity was explored using the Egger test. Results: These 23 studies included 650 pregnant women with a mean age of 26.9 (±5.9) years.

Estudo da qualidade de vida de mulheres portadoras da síndrome dos ovários policísticos em alagoas

A síndrome dos ovários policísticos (SOP), desordem endocrinológica mais comum da mulher, é caracterizada por uma combinação de características clínicas, bioquímicas e morfológicas ovarianas. A alta incidência da SOP, especialmente entre mulheres na menacme, e suas manifestações clínicas provocam impacto sobre a saúde física, emocional e psicológica das portadoras, sendo importante a avaliação da sua qualidade de vida.

Resina integral do bálsamo-de-tolu não apresenta efeito bactericida ou bacteriostático sobre a escherichia coli

A Escherichia coli (E.coli) é uma bacteria bacilar Gram-negativa presente na microbiota intestinal humana, no entanto, diversos sorotipos estão relacionados a doenças infecciosas intestinais e extra intestinais, podendo apresentar fatores de virulência ligados a resistência contra antibióticos. Neste contexto, o bálsamo-de-tolu (BDT) surge como uma planta com potencial antibacteriano, podendo representar uma fonte de moléculas antibacterianas. Assim, este trabalho buscou avaliar a atividade anti-E. coli do BDT.

Efficacy of preoperative dexamethasone in lower third molar surgeries: a systematic review

Lower third molar extraction surgery generates pain, edema and trismus as the main postoperative symptoms, which directly affect the patient life quality. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of preoperative administration of dexamethasone in lower third molar surgeries to decrease postoperative symptoms. This systematic review followed the PRISMA recommendations. The search was realized in the PubMed, LILACS and Science Direct databases.

Anxiety in the face of covid 19 as a determining factor for temporomandibular dysfunction

The objective of the research was to assess whether anxiety can be considered a predictor of temporomandibular dysfunction (TMD) in health professionals who were at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19. This is a cross-sectional quantitative study. The study included interns or health professionals aged 18 years or over, living in Brazil and working on the front lines of the fight against COVID-19. The Fonseca Anamnesis Questionnaire, considered an instrument capable of characterizing the severity of TMD symptoms.

Categorization of yellow fever risk in paraguay after the introduction of the yellow fever vaccine to the regular vaccination schedule

Introduction: Yellow Feveris a disease with a wide spectrum of symptoms. Objective: To identify the Sanitary Regions of Paraguay with high, medium and low risk of yellow fever. Materials and Methods: Observational descriptive, cross-sectional study conducted from 2006-2021. Demographic variables: age, Sanitary Region, population, vaccination coverage against yellow fever and epidemiological density (presence of the reservoir and A. aegypti (vector), proximity and migration to epizootic areas.
