Growth of cities in North-East India

The present paper tries to investigate the association between the selected urban facilities and the increasing dominance of Class-I cities over lower order towns (Census of India, 2001) and also attempts to show the growth patterns of towns and cities (Census of India, 1901 to 2001) in the North East Region of India. The study found that availability of urban amenities such as good electrification, medical facilities, recreation, cultural facilities etc. play significant role in attracting people to migrate to urban centers that lead to increasing dominance of Class-I cities.

Sociology of Science and Prediction

Addition of history, political science, economics, geography, philosophy is one quarter of sociology. Other quarter is made of psychology. Half of sociology is still developing with its research and methodology as the lab is complete globe and solution is required for whole human species. With different agents of socialization we develop the prime called prediction. Whatever step we move on first we have a prediction of result. These predictions may develop from common sense, observation or experience but they are reasonable for risk taking capacities, social action etc.

A comparison of residents’ attitudes toward supporting tourism development: A Case study of Vangvieng district, Vientiane province, LAO PDR

This paper aim to model residents’ satisfaction for support of tourism development expansion based on the factors found to influence residents’ satisfaction, and to compare between two groups of residents’ attitudes toward supporting of tourism development expansion. Social exchange theory was used and support for tourism development model with hypotheses concerning eight paths was also proposed. Data was collected in the 4 villages of the Vanvienng District, Vientiane, and Lao PDR. The model and hypothesized paths were tested. IBM-SPSS Amos 21 was used as an analyzing tool.

Challenges and Issues of innovative methods in Teaching Mathematics

Today's mathematics teachers are experiencing major changes not only in the mathematics content they teach, but also in the way they teach. Now teachers are called on to teach new, more challenging mathematics to a very diverse audience using active learning approaches designed to develop understanding. In this paper, I address the challenge and issues of innovative methods on teaching mathematics. To meet this challenge mathematics teachers need the support and encouragement of students at all levels.

Phosphotungstic acid loaded sodium alginate membranes for enhanced Pervaporative dehydration of Isopropanol

The Plain sodium alginate (NaAlg) and 5 wt % and 10 wt % phosphotungstic acid(PWA) incorporated NaAlg membranes have been fabricated by solution casting followed by solvent evaporation. The membranes formed were crosslinked with glutaraldehyde and tested for PV dehydration of isopropanol from their aqueous feed mixtures at water concentrations (5, 10, 15 and 25 wt %) at 30◦C. The crosslinking reaction was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) measurements.

Genetic diversity of cultivars of Kumba group (Solanum Aethiopicum) assessed by est-ssrs

To determine genetic diversity among 43 cultivars of Kumba group (Solanum aethiopicum L.), 17 simple sequence repeat (EST-SSR) markers were tested. Nine (9) EST-SSR markers used were polymorphic among the accessions studied. A total of 19 alleles were identified with an average of 2 alleles per marker. Furthermore, the accessions studied showed medium genetic diversity. Clustering analysis grouped the 43 accessions into 3 distinct clusters.

The study of anomalies in the pzt material

Lead zirconate titanate PbZr0.52Ti0.48O3 (PZT52) sample was prepared using the conventional solid state reaction. The nanosized PZT52 sample shows a mixture of phases tetragonal and rhombohedral, and a grain size of about 31 nm calculated from the Scherrer equation. The sample sintered at 900 °C for 4 hours showed a diffuse maximum of the permittivity of about 5354 located at the temperature of 412 °C. XPS analysis of the sample reveals the presence of contaminants, and a composition, after sintering, similar to the nominal one.

The use of lactate acid bacterium, streptococcus thermophillus from fish digestion organ to growth and colesterol level of chicken broiler strain hubbart

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of probiotic LAB isolates of Streptococcus thermophillus of fish waste on the cholesterol levels of broiler chicken meat. This research material is Hubart Strain male broiler production PT Multi Breeder Adirama much as 40 chicken attain the age of 1 day. Lactate Acid bacteria (BAL) used in this research were freeze drying Streptococcus thermophillus which were taken from Biochemistry Nutrition Laboratory of Faculty of Animal Breeding of Gajah Mada University. Treatment I was as a control (Without BAL).

Determination of fluoride in tricalcium phosphate (tcp) by Ion-selective electrode

Fluoride plays as much more important role in metabolic process. Fluoride ion concentration in tri-calcium phosphate above 5.0 mg/100 g creates health hazards. Many methods have been devised for the determination of fluorine. In this study, Ion-Selective Electrode Method has been used for the determination of fluoride in tri-basic calcium phosphate. The pKa for HF was 3.17, and buffer was 5.32, 99.0 % of fluorine was present as F- in the solution of TCP. Method range was 0.1 to more than 10 mg/L without dilution.
