Nanotechnology: An emerging tool for effective cancer treatment

Nanotechnology is rapidly progressing and is being implemented to solve the problems related to conventional chemotherapeutic agents such as low safety margin, poor water solubility, poor oral availability, normal tissue toxicity and tumor resistance. Nanotechnology promises targeted delivery of drugs and significant improvement in cancer diagnosis, treatment and management. Nanoparticle assisted combination therapies promotes synergism, enhances therapeutic effectiveness, improves pharmacokinetics and suppresses drug resistance.

Riyazat (exercise): A part of ilaj bil tadbeer and its role in prevention of diseases

Riyazat is any bodily activity that enhances or maintains physical fitness and overall health and wellbeings. It is performed for various reasons, including strengthening muscles and the cardiovascular system, honing athletic skills, weight loss or maintenance, and merely enjoyment. Frequent and regular physical exercise boosts the immune system and helps to prevent the "disease of affluence" such as in cardiovascular disease, Type 2 diabetes, and obesity. It may also help to prevent depression, help to promote or maintain positive self-esteem, and improve mental health generally.

Clinical profile of exercise treadmill test positive patients with normal coronary angiogram

Background: Normal coronary angiogram following abnormal exercise stress test puts patients at higher risk of developing future coronary heart disease. Even with no occlusion in coronary arteries, patients are at risk of recurring coronary events such as myocardial infarction and death. However, research performed at the University of Bologna suggests that those with non-obstructive coronary disease are still at high risk for future cardiac events.

Risk factors for acquisition of hiv infection among idus in Kolkata

It is a community based cross sectional epidemiological pilot study, so it is not enough to explore the all risk factors among IDUs in Kolkata, West-Bengal. Most IDUs are young and HIV was found to be significantly associated with those aged >= 26 years compared with those aged <=25 years. In the present study it is revealed that the age group of the HIV sero-positive IDUs is 30 to 42 years and large portion of them are married. Most of the IDUs practiced unsafe sex (87.5), have the habit of sex with male (12.5%) and 75% visits commercial sex worker.

The dual clocks three-dimension probability random multi-channel access protocol with ack mechanism

Ad hoc network is a multi-hop, no center, and self-organizing wireless network. The network has no fixed infrastructure, each node is mobile, and can be in any way to keep in touch with other nodes dynamically. Each node is a router at the same time; they can find and maintain complete routing functions to other nodes. Due to the use of wireless communication and therefore more vulnerable than wired network interference enemy, eavesdropping and attack.

Assessment of rainwater collection sites in karst areas using the swat model

It is vital to study in greater detail the process of rainwater collection in epikarst zone, in order to enhance water storage, to accelerate water cycle and to improve water quality. This study focuses on assessing the hydrologic environment in the karst areas and also illustrates the use of computer modeling (SWAT Model) to select the best sites to install such rainwater collection devices. Yaji experimental site is chosen as the study area of this study. It is about 8 km east from Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in South China.

Online promotion at the university libraries in vietnam: an approach from the users

The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of the online promotion status at the university libraries in Vietnam. Through the result of surveying, this paper also mention to some reviewing and evaluating about the quality of the online promotion and some solutions for enhancing the online promotion quality at these libraries in Vietnam.

Expression and purification of envelop capsid proteins of foot and mouth disease virus type o isolated in vietnamin baculovirus system for making virus-like particle

Virus-like particles are composed of envelop capsid proteins without containing genetic materials that mimic overall structure of native virions. They are able to effectively elicit both humoral and cell-based immune response but unable to self-replication. This study was designed to construct recombinant baculovirus co-expression of VP1-2A-VP3 and VP0 coding sequences of foot and mouth disease virus (FMDV) type O strain FMDV/HN/2013 under the control of p10 and polyhedrin promotors in baculovirus system.

A survey on sampling theory

A large number of developments have been made so far in Fuzzy sets, and Statistical techniques which played a vital role in sampling theory and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). In spite of growing literature, the development of an application of statistical techniques in fuzzy analysis, a review in need and it is felt for a more systematic insight into the potentialities of cross fertilization between Statistics and Fuzzy Logic. In this article we review papers which is looking for several aspects of study design, data handling, statistical analysis on fuzzy set theory and the results.
