Bamboo as alternative material in ecological jewelry

The purpose of this research was to design ecological jewelry through alternative materials such as bamboo otate, to generate environmental responsibility. Nowadays, products with low environmental impact are realized, in this sense the bamboo otate was an ideal alternative, because it is the plant with greater growth in the world, being able to be used since the two years of growth for artisanal purposes, it is a renewable resource and totally sustainable, in six months reaches a height of 60 meters, it has a high durability giving it a permanent finish.

Cross sectional study to study clinical profile of blood culture positive typhoid fever patients

Introduction: Typhoid fever is highly prevalent in India with hight rate of morbidity and mortality. There is paucity of data from India on the clinical and investigational profile of proven typhoid fever patients. Thus this study has been taken up to study these aspects of typhoid fever. Aims and objectives: To study clinical profile of blood culture positive typhoid fever patients. Materials and Methods: Study was carried out in the Department of Pediatrics, Northern Railways Central Hospital, New Delhi. 100 patients with fever of more than 3 days duration were taken.

Judicial review of executive policy decisions: a study

In this study, the scope and ambit of judicial review of executive policy decisions has been analysed and studied in depth with the aid of several decisions of the Supreme Court. Executive policy decisions are taken with due care and caution after series of deliberations in consultation with expert bodies. Courts should not interfere unless such decisions are arbitrary, affects the right of citizens or in conflict with law or modifies any statutory provisions, even though there is no legislative sanction. Matters of economic policies or business should be left to expert bodies.

Determinants of economic growth in the arab countries: a panel data approach

This study aimed to estimate the determinants of economic growth in the Arab countries, through a form of panel data such as economic growth measured by GDP as the dependent variable, and a number of independent variables, which includes exports, imports, foreign direct investment, population and Gross capital formation. The required secondary data was collected from official sources of each country under consideration, and World Bank for the period 1995-2013. The study found foreign direct investment had a negative effect on GDP in Arab countries.

A study on quality of work- life in relation to work performance of employees at Pricol ltd, Coimbatore

The present study aims to find out the functional relationship between Quality of Work Life and Work Performance of employees at Pricol Ltd., Coimbatore. The descriptive method using survey as technique had been employed to solve the research question. A sample of 310 employees was drawn through stratified sampling method, the strata being gender and age. The Quality of Work Life Inventory was used to collect data from the sample. For analysis ‘t’ test and Karl Pearson’s Product Moment correlation were used.
