Social and environmental identity of the inhabitants of the island of fernando de noronha: assumptions for the implementation of an environmental education program

Based on resources from the Research and Development Program of the National Electricity Agency (ANEEL), the Pernambuco Energy Company (CELPE) is developing a research project to implement an innovative electrical energy storage system for the Fernando de Noronha. Through the project Multiobjective Optimization of Distributed Energy Resources aimed at Sustainability and Reliability in Isolated Micro grids including Energy Storage System with Batteries, the Environmental Education Program is being implemented in the region.

Nursing records and the quality of patient care: evaluation by methods triangulation

From the nursing notes on the patient's chart it is possible to identify how the care to the user is performed. Therefore, it is essential that the nursing record be readable, organized, chronological, concise, signed and stamped. Recognizing that nursing annotation is an essential tool in comprehensive patient care, this manuscript aimed to perform a bibliographic review to list the main theoretical and practical contributions on nursing records and the quality of care adopted in the therapies of nurses and technicians of nursing.

Segmental stabilization and aussie current in women with nonspecific chronic lower back pain

Introduction: Lower back pain impacts almost 80% of the population. A lower back’s is taken as non-specific when there is not a closed clinical diagnosis. This paper compared the outcomes with the segmental stabilization and the Aussie current’s usage in an isolated and joint form for the treatment of lower back pain. Materials and Methods: This is an analytical clynical trial, with a control group which was a subproject of the research named "Physiotherapeutic performance in orthopedic and sports dysfunctions" endorsed by the opinion of number 2,418,872.

Sexual behavior of undergraduate students from a college in southwest of Bahia concerning the use of condom

Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) have been a major concern in all age groups, especially in adolescents and adults, due to their sexual behavior towards the use of condoms and the increase of contamination. STIs are a public health problem and the unprotected sex act is the main way of transmission. Therefore, the objective of this study was to analyze the perception of the students of a college in the Southwest of Bahia, regarding the use of condoms and their importance.

The nurse and violence against the elderly

Objective: To describe the nurses' attitude regarding the violence suffered by the elderly, evidenced in the Brazilian and Portuguese scientific literature, from 2007 to 2018. Method: It is an exploratory study with qualitative approach of the type Integrative Review of Literature. The sample consisted of 14 articles, 13 Brazilian and one Portuguese. Results: The results showed that nurses are the health professionals who most identify violence against the elderly, either through nursing consultation or the arrival of the elderly in emergency services.

Epidemiological profile of congenital syphilis in the state of pará/brazil, in the period from 2007 to 2017

Congenital syphilis is a disease caused by the bacterium Treponema pallidum, transmitted by hematogenous, transplacental or part-channel routes and breastfeeding. This disease affects around 930,000 people worldwide, with a gradual increase in the disease, both nationally and at the state level. The present study is a descriptive epidemiological survey with a quantitative approach, in which data available from the SINAN databases in the Data SUS was collected on cases of congenital syphilis in children younger than 4 years old between 2007 and 2017 in the state of Pará, Brazil.

Realistic simulation as a teaching strategy learning in basic health care

Objective: To evaluate the use of realistic simulation as a strategy of the learning teaching process with students of the nursing course in the scenarios of basic health care. Method: Descriptive, exploratory, quantitative study developed in a private Higher Education Institution in Belem / PA, in August, 2018. The sample consisted of 47 students from the Nursing course, 5th year, enrolled in the discipline in Basic Attention in health.

Adherence to treatment for diabetes and relation with kidney function and lifestyle

This study evaluated adherence to treatment for diabetes and the relationship with kidney function and lifestyle. It is a descriptive study, carried out with 270 elderly people, with questionnaires during home visits. The mean age was 63.6±1.7 years, 62.6% female, 71.9% married, 76.3% hypertensive, 68.1% sedentary, 12.2% smokers, 69.3% report having healthy eating, 74.1% have incomplete elementary education. The average filtration rate was 70.8±23.6 ml/min. Glomerular filtration rate was lower in women and in the elderly over 60 years, but had no relation to adherence to treatment.

Value of the electromyographic monitoring in the revertion of the muscle relaxants

Comparative EMG study of the revertion of the neuromuscular function after the use of three kinds of non-depolarizing muscle relaxants in sixty patients which were subclassified into three groups , of twenty patients were every one , for had been elective cholecystectomy. Indicating the use of anticholinesterasic drug ( neostigmine) which must be used when the patients had been retired of equal or more than 50%of the control twitch height and would not be doing extubation till the height would be reaching more than 70% of the control.
