Influência do agrosilício e silicato de potássio no crisântemo cv. puritan sob condições de campo aberto

O crisântemo (Dendranthemagrandiflora), cultivado em vaso é uma das plantas mais populares no Brasil. O Agrosilício ® e o silicato de potássio são fontes de silício, embora esse não seja um elemento essencial para a nutrição das plantas têm mostrado benefícios na produção e qualidade pós-colheita de flores. Assim, este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar o desempenho produtivo e qualidade pós-colheita do crisântemo cv. Puritan, cultivado em condições de campo aberto, sob diferentes doses de Agrosilício ® e Silicato de potássio.

Uso de dimensões lineares para estimar a área das folhas de Cajanus cajan (L.) Millspaugh atráves de método não destrutivo

Objetivou-se por este estudo, encontrar o melhor modelo matemático que estime a área das folhas trifoliolada de Cajanus cajan (L.) Millspaugh de maneira não destrutiva, a partir das dimensões lineares do comprimento e da largura da folha central. Foram utilizadas 380 folhas trifolioladas, sendo 300 utilizadas para a modelagem e 80 utilizada para a validação. Cada folha central foi mensurada quanto ao maior comprimento (C) e a maior largura (L). Posteriormente determinou-se o produto da multiplicação entra o comprimento e largura (CL).

Effects of school characteristics on students’ mathematics performances in high schools: does stem education make any difference?

The purpose of this study was to determine how different characteristics of Florida public high schools are related to students’ performances on the mathematics component of Advanced Placement (AP) exams, End of Course (EOC) exams, The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and American College Test (ACT) tests. The study also provides a summary of key findings and details about how students perform in STEM schools on the AP pass rates, EOC percentiles, and SAT and ACT test scores comparing to students in non-STEM schools in the State of Florida.

Acidentes domésticos por queimaduras em criaças menores de cinco anos

Objetivo: identificar fatores de risco para acidentes domésticos, causados por queimaduras, em crianças menores de cinco anos de idade. Método: estudo transversal, com 354 cuidadores de crianças do nordeste do Brasil. Utilizou-se de formulário referente às questões socioeconômicas e checklist para observação do ambiente. Realizaram-se análises bivariadas, utilizando-se do teste Qui-quadrado de Pearson.

Fatores de risco para doenças cardiovasculares em estudantes de medicina

O objetivo deste estudo foi estimar a prevalência dos fatores de risco para doença cardiovascular em estudantes de medicina e comparar entre homens e mulheres. Trata-se de um estudo transversal, com 95 estudantes. Foram analisados dados sociodemográficos e fatores de risco cardiovascular. Realizou-se análise estatística, com nível de significância de 5%. A idade média encontrada foi de 22,2 anos (±3,4), sendo 56,1% mulheres.

Teaching nurse: quality of life and occupational stress

The objective was to identify the elements the determine the quality of life of teaching nurse, as well as the ones associated with their occupational stress. It is an integrative review made in the database LILACS, SCIELO, BDENF, through the following descriptors “occupational stress”, “quality of life”, “teaching nurse”, “worker’s health”, made in Portuguese, published from March to April of 2017.13 articles were selected. The data lead to the following thematic categories: Occupational risk factors for the stress and defining elements for the quality of life in the professional context.

Entrepreneurship as an alternative for unemployment an analysis from 2012 to 2018

Entrepreneurship can be defined as an activity that involves discovery, evaluation and exploration of opportunities to create new goods, services, markets and processes through the efforts of individuals or organizations that did not previously exist. Entrepreneurship is one of the solutions for unemployment in times of economic crisis. This paper investigates the influence of unemployment in Brazilian entrepreneurship between 2012 and 2018.

A systematic review on the wide spreading social media use and consequences of social media: mental health perspective

Social media is a web based technology that connects a large number of families, friends, clients and other large number of virtual communities to share and exchange what they have without any fear and interference to their intimate partners or groups. The purpose of this review is in order to clearly indicate the effects of social media use on human psychological wellbeing and mental health. Reviewing a number of articles has been done to show the pitfalls of social media and other technology on human wellbeing.

A study of anatomical variations of the popliteal artery in thiel cadaver and clinical applications

This Anatomical variations occur in structures of the body, with the structures of the vascular system inclusive. This study seeks to observe the variations in the termination pattern of popliteal artery and their clinical significances. 24 right and left popliteal fossae of 12 ScottishThiel-embalmed cadavers within the age range of 32 – 110 years were dissected. The observed variations in the termination pattern of popliteal artery were classified using to Kim’s method.

Knowledge of intensive nurses about the diagnosis of nursing: risk of injury in the cornea

Objective: To analyze nurses' knowledge about nursing diagnosis and intervention for the risk of corneal injury in the Intensive Care Unit. Method: Descriptive, exploratory research with a qualitative approach. Setting: Study developed at the Intensive Care Unit of a public hospital of medium and high complexity, located in the metropolitan region of Belém, State of Pará, Brazil, from April to June 2019. The sample consisted of nine nurses.
