Objetivo: verificar as formas de tratamento e os tipos de coberturas mais utilizadas no paciente com lesão por queimaduras, mostrando assim a evolução na área, através de uma revisão integrativa da literatura. Método: trata-se de uma revisão narrativa da literatura realizda nas bases de dados LILACS, MEDLINE e Scientific Eletronic Library Online (Scielo) por meio de descritores controlados. A busca resultou em 471 artigos. Resultados: nove estudos constituíram a revisão.

Introduction: Canine impaction is a condition where the tooth cannot burst into the oral cavity. It has a higher prevalence in the maxilla, with recurrence in females. Its etiology is related to the lack of space for eruption, but it is suggested that it is a multifactorial problem. The most frequent treatment strategies are orthodontic traction or surgical removal. Early diagnosis and intervention are important measures to prevent intraosseous pathologies. Objetives: Report surgical therapeutic associations adopted to remove a included lower canine.

The anatomy of the frontal sinus is a point of great interest for maxillofacial surgery, since surgical treatment of the region is often necessary. Through a study using CT scans, we seek to access the average volume, anteroposterior extension and width of the frontal sinuses in order to serve as a basis for surgical interventions in the upper third of the face resulting from trauma and other surgical techniques that address this region.

A avaliação precisa da espessura da cortical óssea alveolar previamente ao tratamento ortodôntico é de suma importância para a escolha e planejamento do tratamento visando evitar sequelas como deiscências, fenestrações ou grandes recessões gengivais. A tomografia computadorizada de feixe cônico (TCFC) tem se mostrado uma ótima ferramenta, pois permite mensurações confiáveis nos três planos anatômicos e fornece imagens de alta resolução.

Objetivou-se este estudo investigar a prevalência de pneumonia associada à ventilação mecânica em Unidade de Terapia Intensiva em um Hospital de Urgências de Teresina-PI. Trata-se de um estudo transversal retrospectivo com abordagem quantitativa. O estudo foi desenvolvido no setor de terapia intensiva de um Hospital de Urgências referência na cidade de Teresina, estado do Piauí.

The digestibility of nutrients in commercial diets of domestic cats are well characterized and documented, however, for felids it does not occur. Even the research shows the digestibility of raw food for wild cats are limited. Therefore, this work aims to evaluate the digestibility, urinary pH, fecal score and weight maintenance of domestic cats fed an extruded wild cat food. Six domestic cats were used, without defined breed, with an average age of 6.3 years, being four females and two males.

Objetivos: Identificar o conhecimento dos enfermeiros de um hospital universitário sobre as atividades do Enfermeiro Auditor. Apontar quais atividades os enfermeiros observam serem realizadas pelo Enfermeiro Auditor. Método: Pesquisa descritiva com abordagem quali-quantitativa, com enfermeiros assistenciais de unidades de internação de um hospital universitário. Utilizou-se um instrumento com questões semi-estruturadas para coleta do material.

People with HIV Lipodystrophy Syndrome may experience disturbance in leptin levels. This hormone is associated with non-alcoholic liver steatosis and endocrine-metabolic changes. The objective of this study was to evaluate the association between hepatic steatosis, leptin levels and clinical forms of Lipodystrophy. This is a cross-sectional study, conducted with 62 patients with Lipodystrophy using antiretroviral therapy (ART). The variables studied were anthropometry, laboratory tests and clinical data.

Objective: to identify the risk factors for Metabolic Syndrome in employees of a company. Methods: cross-sectional descriptive study with the participation of employees of a private shoe company, 2018. An instrument with a self-report on a socio-demographic profile was applied. Body mass index, waist circumference (WC) and blood pressure (BP) were calculated. Blood glucose values were obtained from the casual measurement by rapid tests. The behaviors of practicing physical activity were obtained from the International Physical Activity Questionnaire.

A resiliência pode ser definida como a adaptação e superação do indivíduo diante de situações de risco ou adversidades, trata-se de uma capacidade que não é inata e pode ser desenvolvida ao longo da vida. Identificar a resiliência das pessoas ou populações torna-se essencial para elaborar mecanismos de instrumentalização para promoção e manutenção da saúde mental. Os instrumentos desenvolvidos para mensurar o nível de resiliência podem subsidiar estratégias para promoção da saúde das pessoas frente a fatores estressores da vida.
