A study was carried out in Erode, a tier-II city of Tamil Nadu with the objective to study the social and educational background of the respondents. Multistage sampling procedure was adopted to select 120 household respondents. Relevant data were collected through personal interview with the help of a pilot-tested interview schedule. An ex-post facto research design was adopted to find out the results. Socio-economic background of the respondents of Erode City showed that nearly 50 per of the respondents were in the age group of 30-50 and 82.5 per cent of the respondents were female.

A new revolutionary technology to feed billions by establishing sustainable agriculture on small and large landscapes including urban regions globally

More food needs to be produced on soils located near consumer markets globally. This mandate requires innovative hydropedologic technology that produces more food with less water. Since most of the farmland is currently under production or has been badly eroded, more of the 26% land area occupied by highly permeable sand soils needs to be converted to sustainable agricultural production. Opportunities for reducing groundwater pollution in sands require additional exploration of innovative hydropedological mechanisms improving the retention of gravitational water in the root zone.

Trans fats: The worst type of fat

Trans fatty acids, are a form of unsaturated fats having at least one double bond in their chemical structure. Trans fats (artificial) are now notorious as the worst fat in the food industry. Trans fats get generated when oils are only partially hydrogenated to generate semi-solid oils. This change may seem small, but it totally changes the fat's physical properties. Hydrogenation increases the shelf life, texture and flavour stability of foods.

Modeling of biology and bioclimatology applied studies on plant in Palestine

Plum (Prunus domestica L.) is one of the most important export crops in Palestine and climate effects on plum yield and prediction of yield in commercial plum production were studied. Palestine is the leading fresh and dried plum producer all over the world. We analyzed the mean annual temperature and precipitation using data from tenth weathers stations from the Palestine Meteorological Department, recorded in the period from 1993-2008 (15 years), with the same years plant production (rainfed) from the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).

Structural analysis of the diffusion violations in the ischemic focus of the patients with impaired carbohydrate metabolism

The method for structure learning of DWI-images, based on the analysis of the few fractal dimensions of the set of image pixels was developed. It is shown that the study about the structure of DWI-images using few fractal dimensions can be used to describe the ischemic focus and to identify areas of irreversible changes in the brain. The statistically significant differences and correlations between fractal dimensions of healthy tissue and ischemic focus were detected.

Evaluating the relationship between high blood pressure and attrition (teeth wearing)

The wear of teeth has become major factor limiting lifespans of dentition in mammalian population. Widely its related with high blood pressure. This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between high blood pressure and attrition, 24patients were divided into two groups. 12 healthy medical fitted, and 12 patients with high blood pressure. After that we did the clinical examination for all patients. results showed that there is a significant relationship between hypertension and attrition. So hypertension strongly related with some clinical signs like attrition.

The membrane-redox potentials three-state line system dependent- full 9 stepped cycle of proton conductance inside human body and rlung, mkhris, badgan abstract code of tibetian traditional medicine (ttm)

Among many researchers have been prevailed the opinions as if  rlung, mkhris, badgan are living things, which are really existed inside human body along with 14 trillion living cells.

Functional capacity physics in patients with rheumatoid arthritis

The present study evaluated the functional capacity physics in patients with diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis in a hospital of specialties in Mexico through the scale Health Assessment Questionnaire (HAQ). Was applied to a sample of 17.4 per cent of the population which attended consultation in the period of study time, exclude patients with other pathology.

The risk of pulmonary disease and other health hazards among small scale stone quarry workers: a study at miotso in the ningo-prampram district of Ghana

The evaluation of occupational health and safety hazards among quarry workers are relevant because of the number of high-risk activities involved. Ghana has witnessed various quarry accidents and health complaints associated with quarrying activities which have not been addressed. A cross sectional descriptive study was therefore conducted aimed at assessing the occupational health related problems of Miotso quarry workers in the Ningo-Prampram district of Ghana. Simple random sampling was employed in the selection of the respondents from a population of adult quarry workers.
