Abstract:

The training of health professionals is in evidence as a benefit to the change in health practices, so the Ministry of Health seeks strategies to strengthen training for the Unified Health System (SUS). The present study aimed to analyze the participation of the Project VER-SUS in the health training of academics exposing the perception about the re-signification of health practices during the edition 2015,2. It is a qualitative-descriptive and exploratory study. The participants of the research were 24 students from VER-SUS in the 2015.2 edition, held in the Municipality of Imperatriz / MA. For data collection, a semi-structured questionnaire was used in an online Google Docs platform, which was analyzed through the content analysis proposed by Bardin (2011). From the analysis emerged six categories: Knowledge of the Unified Health System before the experience; the experience of SEE-YOUR Empress; Contribution of the VER-SUS in the academic formation; VER-SUS and the specific communities; VER-SUS and the practices of Health and the Unique Health System after the experience of VER-SUS. The VER-SUS project constitutes an important device for the re-signification of health practices and strengthening of health education, besides mobilizing several students to fight for SUS.
