Prevalence and management of polycystic ovarian syndrome through diet

Polycystic ovarian syndrome is a common heterogeneous endocrine disorder in females of the reproductive age with signs and symptoms, including menstrual irregularity, hirsutism, acne, weight disorders and other metabolic disorders like diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and cardiovascular disorders. The etiology of this disease is undetermined, even so it may include inherited and environmental aspects, including the lifestyle factors such as reduced physical activity and a high caloric diet habit. It is considered to be one of the most common, leading infertility disorder among the female population, worldwide. Although till now there has been no remedy for this syndrome, the aim of this study is to see out, what changes can be made with the dietary habits so as to help improve the signs, symptoms and other disorders linked with PCOS.
