Abstract: 

Introduction: COVID-19 is a disease caused by the new coronavirus that presents itself more severely in the elderly population. Objective: Identify the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the daily lives of the elderly. Materials and Methods: It is a descriptive, exploratory research with a qualitative approach. The research took place in August and September 2021. The data obtained were analyzed by content analysis according to Bardin. Results: Thirty elderly people aged between 62 and 91 years old participated. They reported the distancing of their children and the restriction of leisure and work activities as the most impacting in this period. Conclusion: The COVID-19 pandemic will leave irreversible consequences in people's lives, losses, social isolation.
