The year 2020 is marked globally by the world pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2, the virus that infected millions of people, entailing thousands of deaths. Several actions have been taken by the main health organizations and governments in the effort to minimize the impacts on the world population. The purpose of this study is to propose a systematization of control and combat to future pandemics, seeking to contribute with a model of care protocol that adapts to the needs of institutions. The study features a systematic literature review and is based on the data collected through a questionnaire applied to Brazilian Fire Departments across the 26 States and Federal District. The study intends to map the actions implemented involving the creation and development of new care protocols, the use of specific personal protective equipment (PPE), general cautions with the disposal of contaminated materials, and changes of behavior in firefighters staying at the workplaces and residences to avoid contamination. The mapping also addressed the entire logistics prepared for the procedures, such as vehicles assigned for the care of suspected/confirmed Covid-19 patients, and other strategies adopted to mitigate the impacts on the health of the workers and population. The potential of this study is demonstrated in the mapping of actions implemented in Fire Department Stations in Brazil.
