Knowledge management practices in the distance education modality in the maringá prison system – pr

This article discusses the process of implementation of the combined classroom and distance modality (Distance Education), whose proposal is from the Secretary of State of Education - SEED, in partnership with the Secretariat of Security and Penitentiary Administration that proposes a differentiated form in provision of basic education to students temporarily deprived of their liberty in the prison system Professor Tomires de Carvalho de Maringá. Thus, the objective of the article was to promote an investigation on the contributions of knowledge management practices in the teaching and learning process in this institution. As a methodology, the study is classified as descriptive, exploratory and case study. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews applied at the referred institution. The article is structured as follows: a) Brief History of Distance Education in Prison System Educational Institutions; b) Education in the Prison Area and c) Knowledge Management and Distance Education. The institution has a propitious environment to give shape and content to knowledge and people and agents of social transformation act in it. The use of knowledge management practices provides security in the face of pedagogical actions, in addition to making significant contributions to educational processes in the Maringá prison system.
