Frugal innovation is a current topic that deals with the ability to create more economic and social value using fewer resources. It can be understood as the ability to do more with less and it has become a promising business in developed economies. It seeks to rethink ways of acting in organizations in order to generate value for society through goods and services supply, besides worrying about the preservation of the environment. In this regard, the objective of this research is to conduct a systematic literature review on frugal innovation in Brazil, checking its viability in the development of new products in a sustainable way. It was developed a systematic literature review about Frugal Innovation in Brazil through articles published in the last 10 years in Google Scholar databases, Capes, Scopus and Scielo. The results demonstrated that there are just a few studies and the necessity to develop further researches and academic production about the subject, highlighting the need of greater investment in frugal innovation projects in Brazil and in the preparatory work.
