Cuidados odontológicos ao paciente com cirrose hepática congênita pré-transplantado: relato de caso

Cirrhotic patients who are on the waiting list for liver transplantation usually have numerous changes in innate and adaptive immune responses, developing an acquired immunosuppressive state. Thus, these patients affected by cirrhosis had an increased risk of contracting diseases, especially periodontal disease. The aim of this study was to present dental care for patients with pre-transplant liver cirrhosis. This is a descriptive case report with a qualitative approach. The report was based on the dental follow-up of a patient with acquired liver cirrhosis, in which it would be a liver transplant. In view of this, a patient went through all the stages of dental care, receiving all the necessary assistance to be ready to receive a liver transplant.
