Introduction: Childhood cancer is a condition that results from disordered cell proliferation that can occur in any organ and is considered an acute disease of unfavorable diagnosis. Objective: To identify in the literature the contribution of the nursing team to the caregiver / family member of the pediatric cancer patient. Method: This is a descriptive / exploratory, documentary, integrative review study. The search was done through the “with full text” mode, in which the Health Sciences Descriptors (DECs) were used, as follows: oncology; pediatrics; familiar; nursing. Boolean operator AND was used. We conducted a survey of the studies in the following databases: Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature (LILACS), Medline, BDENF, and IBECS. Results: Different crosses were made with the DECs and the combinations in strategy (“combination cloud”) totaling 75 articles in the LILACS, SCIELO and BDENF databases. After reading titles and abstracts, 09 articles were selected. Among the 09 articles, there is one published each year, namely: 2018, 2017, 2015, 2014, 2013 and 2011. In the cut-off time, no articles were found in the years 2010, 2012 and 2019. With respect to the journals, 05 (71.4%) were published in nursing journals, 01 (14.3%) in psychology journal and 01 (14.3) in interdisciplinary journal. Regarding the type of methodology used, all articles 07 (100%) predominated the qualitative approach. Final considerations: Given this, it is understood that the Nursing team, as an indispensable part of the multidisciplinary team in pediatric oncology, mentors several functions within the context of pediatric oncology .
