Degradation of air quality at the city Jabalpur has been estimated by Air Quality Index (AQI). The method used to measure quality of air with respect to national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS). Through the study of two years, the level of air pollutants (O3, CO, NO2, PM2.5 and PM10) was observed. As a result it was found that; O3, CO, PM2.5 and PM10 shown better AQI in 2015 than 2014 whereas, NO2 shows reverse AQI i.e. good AQI result in 2014. However, all the air pollutants didn’t cross its standard. Thus, as per color code and indices all the air pollutants shows green color code means no bad effect on human beings or atmosphere.
