Report of national conference/ webinar/ workshop celebration of earth science week 2022 (09 to 15 October 2022)

Abstract: 

Earth Science Week was founded in October 1998, by American Geosciences Institute (AGI). Since 1998 it’s an annual international event held during the second week of October to help the public gain a better understanding and appreciation for the Earth sciences and to encourage of the Earth. This year's Earth Science Week will be held from October 9 - 15, 2022 and will celebrate the "Earth Science for a Sustainable World." The event, to be held October 9-15, 2022, will emphasize the essential role of Earth science in helping people make decisions that maintain and strength then the planet's ability to support thing life. Program resources and activities will engage young people and others in exploring the many ways that Earth science can and does help to promote sustainable world. Earth Science Week (ESW-2022) Celebration day wise schedule is as follows:  Sunday 09-October -International Earthcache Day: (Explore the world, Geology in the field and unique geoscience feature or aspect of our Earth).  Monday, October 10-Minerals Day: Appreciation for minerals and mineralogy.  Tuesday, October 11-Earth Observation Day: Remote sensing and Geophysical Techniques. No Child Left inside Day encourages students to go outside and research Earth science in the field like a professional geoscientist.  Wednesday, October 12-International Fossil Day: The understanding and appreciation of fossils.  Thursday, October 13-Geoscience for Everyone Day: Explore exciting careers in the geosciences.  Friday, October 14-Geologic Map Day: Promote awareness of the study, uses, importance of geologic mapping for education, science, business, and a variety of public policy concerns.  Saturday, October 15-International Archaeology Day-Celebration of archaeology and the thrill of discovery.
