Perfil epidemiológico das internações de adultos por emergências clínicas em um hospital público em coari-amazonas

Resumo Purpose: To characterize the epidemiological profile of hospitalizations of adults by clinical emergencies in a public hospital in Coari in Amazonas state. Methods: Study with a quantitative, cross-sectional and descriptive-exploratory approach with the collection of secondary data in medical records which were printed, archived and stored in the statistics department of the hospital unit. Results: A total of 234 medical records were used for this study which includes clinical diagnosis in adults aged 19 to 59 years, between September and December 2017. Most of the hospitalizations for the female gender (55,6%), in the age between 19 and 29 years (31,2%); the most affected individuals are farmers (15,8%) and come from the urban zone of the city (76,5%). Conclusion: So it is notorious the great flow of clinical cases that affects these people in adult age, bringing as contribution of this study the knowledge of natural causes and their demands of hospitalizations, allowing the development of policies for the attention of this public.
