Abstract: 

The Jews of Kerala made substantial contribution to the socio-economic life of the land. The synagogues are the outstanding monuments of the Jewish heritage in Kerala. Paradesi Synagogue is the oldest synagogue in the Commonwealth of Nations, located at Mattancherry, in Cochin, Kerala. It was built in 1568 by the Malabar Yehudan People or Cochin Jewish Community in the kingdom of Cochin. This Synagogue is one of the most beautiful and magnificent synagogue of the world.
