A pregnant woman's body changes throughout her pregnancy, as the fetus needs to grow and develop. Manual Lymphatic Drainage is the safest for this period, besides promoting pain relief, provides relaxation, mobilizes structures, reduces edema, prevents deformity and assists in activities of daily living, among others. The purpose of this paper is to identify the benefits of manual lymphatic drainage in pregnant women. This is a literature review study, including complete books and articles available online. After reviewing the available materials, 5 recent articles addressing the benefits of manual lymphatic drainage were selected. It was concluded that manual lymphatic drainage is efficient during pregnancy, providing pain relief, relaxation and reducing edema, especially in the lower limbs.
