Now a days demand for smart home devices are increasing with a rapid pace. Portable Knock Detecting Notifier(PKDN) is a small wireless device that instantly transforms ordinary surfaces (walls, tables, doors, furniture, countertops, & more) into a powerful touchpad. This is a very unique approach to control home devices as well as send alert notification to the user .Our device (PKDN) uses home Wi-Fi network to connect to other devices and is programmed to accept various commands through number of knocks. Sensor inside the PKDN device picks up the vibration and converts them into programmed commands. The number of knocks on the surface, determines which functionality will be performed. PKDN is a device that will be able to perform functions such as switch on/off light, send notification to the user whenever there are knocks on the door and also help the user to find his/her phone within the range of the system.
