Introdução: A avaliação clínica farmacêutica contribui para o acompanhamento da saúde na hipertensão, reduzindo riscos e promovendo o bem-estar do paciente. Objetivo: Elaborar um algoritmo para auxiliar no raciocínio clínico e na conduta do farmacêutico diante do paciente hipertenso baseado nas recomendações das Diretrizes Brasileiras de Hipertensão Arterial 2020. Resultados e discussão: O algoritmo sugere a classificação dos resultados da aferição da pressão arterial, a estratificação do risco cardiovascular, as recomendações farmacológicas e/ou não farmacológicas e encaminhamentos.

Este trabalho busca identificar e caracterizar os fenômenos das disfluências. Especificamente, as pausas que ocorrem em mensagens orais espontâneas, à luz de pressupostos teóricos-metodológicos da Psicolinguística. Quanto ao entendimento funcional das pausas no discurso e as suas classificações, estamos ancorados nas pesquisas de Goldman-Eisler (1968), Marcuschi (2001), Moniz (2006), Shriberg (1994), Silva (2006) e Urbano (1999). O corpus submetido à análise foi formado por uma mensagem oral espontânea, recolhida, a partir de uma gravação de áudio em uma conversa cotidiana no whatsapp.

The present work describes the phytochemical prospection and biological activity of the leaves of Curatella americana L., also known as “Caimbé”, belonging to the family Dilleniaceae. The necessary botanical material was obtained in the municipality of Boa Vista, state of Roraima. This species has a wide distribution throughout the intertropical belt, and can be found throughout the belt from Australia to South America. The extract was obtained from dried and pulverized material. The toxic activity against the microcrustacean Artemia salina was then determined.

A insuficiência cardíaca é uma síndrome clínica complexa, de caráter sistêmico, que se caracteriza por inadequado aporte sanguíneo para atender necessidades metabólicas dos tecidos. A principal terminologia usada historicamente para definir IC baseia-se na fração de ejeção do ventrículo esquerdo e compreende pacientes com FEVE normal, reduzida ou intermediária. Trata-se de um estudo observacional, transversal e analítico.

Introduction: Endometriosis is a chronic, inflammatory disease characterized by endometrial tissue outside the uterine cavity and manifested by cyclic pelvic pain, dysmenorrhea, and dyspareunia. In women with hormone-resistant pain associated with endometriosis, surgical treatment should be considered. Recently, robotic surgery has been referred to as an alternative to conventional laparoscopic surgery as a therapeutic approach in cases of endometriosis.

Objective: To verify the relationship between anthropometric measures and left ventricular hypertrophy, as assessed by the Cornell Index, in obese hypertensive patients. Methods: Cross-sectional study with obese hypertensive patients of both genders, aged ≥ 20 years, treated as outpatients between 1996 and 2011 at the Hypertension Clinic of the Hospital das Clínicas of the Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil. Data collected included age, blood pressure, heart rate, and anthropometric parameters: body mass index, waist/height ratio, waist/hip ratio, and abdominal circumference.

The adsorption isotherms of ciprofloxacin (CIP) by the spent coffee grounds (SCGs) was investigated. The adsorption isotherms were well described by the Langmuir model. This suggested that the strong interaction of CIP with the SCGs. Therefore, SCGs, as a green, environmental-friendly adsorbent, can be applied to the adsorption of contaminants in environment.

The developments achieved by electric machines in recent decades were more significant in terms of their resizing and in the ways in which they are activated than in the field of materials used for their manufacture. The electric machine project proposes the improvement of the technology of a three-phase synchronous machine through changes in the material and in the manufacturing process of the rotor and stator cores.

Faz uma análise de como a escola atual integra o currículo escolar com as tecnologias digitais da educação, assim como os sentidos que são produzidos pelos profissionais de educação acerca da cultura digital. Além disso, aborda caminhos para uma educação inovadora diante dos desafios da educação digital.
