Advances in zein- based hybrid bio-nanocomposite: a short review

This paper contains synthetic approach and characterization study of bio-hybrid material based on zein. A novel zein is found as a mixture of protein complexes whose molecular size, solubility and charge depend on the corn variety and the separation method used for extraction. Zein is soluble in various primary, binary and ternary solvent systems, mainly determined by the balance between the polar/nonpolar groups in those systems. Because of the large proportion of hydrophobic residues in zein, this protein is not soluble in pure water.

Studies on crop performance of a.mylitta d (tasar silkworm) on lagerstroemia parviflora (roxb.) (sidha) secondary food plant found in similipal biosphear reserve of mayurbhnaj district of orisha

Antheraea mylitta D wild tasar silkworm is not food specific like mulberry silkworm but it preferred three primary food plant like T. tomentosa (Asaan), T.arjuna (Arjun) & Shorea robusta (Sal). Other than these food plants Tasar Cocoons has been found in Lagerstroemia parviflora trees (Sidha) in Similipal Biospheres. Experiments has been taken to ascertain economic of crop performance in said plant compare to primary Asan Plants.

Ayurveda-the healthy way of living

Ayurveda emphasizes on prevention of disease rather than cure of disease. For this ‘swasthavritta’ is given the prime importance in Ayurvedic treatment. Water management practices and quality of drinking water from source to consumption point in rural communities in the department of tiassalé, côte d'ivoire

This study evaluated the post-supply drinking-water quality in eight rural communities in department of Tiassalé, Côte d’Ivoire, using either a protected hand-dug wells or boreholes supply. Water management practices were documented as a basis for further research to improve household drinking-water quality. The methods used were administration of a questionnaire, observation and by assessing the stored drinking water quality and the water quality of supply point. Escherichia coli were used as the indicator of potential health risks.

Biochemical analysis of two medicinal plants – annona squamosa l. and garcinia gummi-gutta (l.) roxb.

Plants are one of the most important sources of natural medicine and number of modern drugs has been isolated from them. The present investigation on the two medicinal plants Annona squamosa L. and Garcinia gummi-gutta (L.) Roxb. has revealed the presence of various biochemical compounds such as chlorophyll, protein and carbohydrate. Among the two medicinal plants taken for study, the chlorophyll ‘a’, chlorophyll ‘b’, total chlorophyll and protein content was found to be significantly higher in Annona squamosa L.

The enigmas of power; a folk outlook: parallel to the approach in george orwell’s animal farm

The paper attempts to study a Rajasthani folktale A Hound’s Pride by Vijaydan Detha as an allegorical-folk literary expression. The themes and plot are parallel to George Orwell’s Animal Farm. The devices of anthropomorphism and symbolism are efficiently applied to portray the paradoxes of revolution and autocracy.

Evaluation of the proliferation of dedifferentiated cells of yellow bell pepper (capsicum annuum cv. pimentão amarelo)

Capsicum annuum is notable for its secondary metabolites, which can be of great interest for use in agriculture as alternatives to agrochemicals. Cell suspensions have been used for in vitro large-scale production of secondary metabolites. The aim of this study was to dedifferentiate leaf cells of Capsicum annuum cv. Pimentão Amarelo (yellow bell pepper) into calluses, and to study their growth pattern, focusing on the deceleration phase, when they can be subcultured to establish cell suspensions.
