Seeking to identify subsidies of psychology to understand cultural movements, Analytical psychology offers us its fundamental elements for understanding such phenomena. The archetypes and symbols are crucial to understanding cultural movements such as Grunge, which occurred between 1980 and 1990. The archetypal elements and symbols that possibly fueled the music, behavior and even the decline of the movement, give clarity about human behavior and how we see the elements of analytical psychology, in this historical context that contains significant elements for today's society. In seeking to understand the perspective of Grunge with analytical psychology and its elements, this research sets out to investigate what are the possible relationships between them. Based on bibliographic research, delving into various authors both in the area of psychology and in the area of culture and music. It is a topic of great relevance for psychology in order to address the issue in the historical process of the 80s and 90s, Young sought and even today, some still seek their representation through consumption to belong to certain social groups.
