The present study aimed to identify the main facilitators and difficulties related to the migration of nurses, found in the national and international literature, in the last five years. This is an integrative review, with search of articles published in the Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences databases, Public/Publish Medline and Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, which resulted in the selection of thirty-three articles to compose the synthesis matrix. The findings evidenced the presence of several political, social and individual factors that facilitate or hinder the migration to nurses, being the majority of individual order, being able to divide them into external and internal, being the majority related to individual factors. It is concluded that most facilitators are individual, where nurses seek better professional development and better remuneration in other countries.
