This work aimed to examine the Federal Constitution, federal, state legislation, doctrine and jurisprudence regarding the Environmental Police Power exercised by the Military Police of the State of Minas Gerais. The research was developed in the Municipality of Prata / MG, through analysis of environmental crimes, infraction records, administrative resources and denouncements in the unified denial dial -181. Then, a text was developed referring to the suggestion of environmental policing by the military members of the rural patrol or a new territorial division of the teams that are part of the 9th Cia Mamb, to create the 3rd Mamb Platoon based in the municipality where the research took place. Analyzing the data, it was found that in the municipality there is an underreporting of environmental infractions and reduced social control. The intention of this work was to provide subsidies and draw the attention of the authorities, so that there are investments in environmental inspection in the place that is the object of research.
