Collaborative information behavior from perspectives of information seeking and sharing in academic settings

Abstract: 

The focuses of paper are on the understanding of collaborative information behavior (CIB)and literature review in models of CIB. This paper also analyzes the role of academic libraries in supporting CIB within academic communities. The methodology was used in this paper is analyzing literature review and theoretical discussion on CIB. The purposes of paper are to understand how information behavior in collaborative contexts is defined, and what models of CIB are used in practice. Specially, this paper is to clarify the roles of academic libraries in supporting the researchers and lecturers’ CIB and then, the academic libraries should have some suitable solutions for impacting on CIB effectively.
